thinking of my granny.....
Today I saw this video on Yahoo and thought of my granny....she knew every word to every song on this CD. I listened to this CD every morning while getting ready for school in high school....so she was forced to listen to the CD also. What a nice grandma to never complain about the same CD everyday for 4 years. :) She's so sweet. I wish we lived closer so I could see her more often.

Being Erica
This has been one of my most favorite episodes of Being Erica. This show has been a gem and I feel very lucky to have found it. I never used to worry much about death. It seemed so far away. But now that my life is where it is today, I do worry about it because I have so much to leave behind. As I watched this episode it reminded me of a two very specific days in my life...one was the day I found out one of my most favorite and beloved aunts told me she had breast cancer. I cried and cried and just like Erica's mom she told me everything would be ok. The other day is this episode reminded me of (and I was surprised I thought of this day) was the day Kat called to tell me Tim had passed away. That day my heart fell to my feet. All I could think of was all of the things he had left to do in his life and all of the things he would miss because he wasn't here anymore. The world didn't make much sense after that because I couldn't wrap my mind around how someone so sweet and nice could loose his life and his kids and his family. Ultimately one day we loose everything...

Things Have Been Turned Upside Down.
1. One of my favorite people in this whole world, who has been like an aunt to me was given 18 months to live with the stage 4 breast cancer that has metastasized to her bones.
2. Good friends of ours were told that their baby who is still baking in his mommy's tummy has down syndrome and cerebral palsy and they had to terminate.
3. A sweet dog died in July, and now my friend is heart broken because one of her girls is no longer with her.
4. I've given up on having a baby.
5. And our nearest and dearest friend has moved away to Oregon.
I would LOVE for things to just be normal and easy. I hate when things are upside down and just don't feel right anymore.
